Sales and profits rose across all business segments, except in polyurethanes where earnings fell because of higher raw material and manufacturing costs. Net income was $55 million (23 cts/share), compared to a loss of $68 million. Adjusted net income was $83 million (34 cts/share), compared to $48 million in the year-ago period.
