Dow Boosts MDI Capacity

Dow Polyurethanes says it has started up its expanded methylene di-para-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) plant in Estarreja, Portugal (CW, Sept. 19, 2007, p. 45). The expansion, which was previously announced in 2006, is expected to nearly double the site’s previous capacity of 90,000-m.t./year of polymeric and crude MDI.
