Bayer MaterialScience to Double MDI and PC Capacity at Shanghai

Bayer MaterialScience plans to invest about €1 billion by 2016 to increase capacity at its manufacturing complex at Caojing, China near Shanghai. Capacities for methylene di-para-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) and polycarbonate (PC) will be more than doubled to 1 million m.t./year and 500,000 m.t./year, respectively.
