Producers Announce More Price Hikes

Basic chemicals producers have announced another round of price increases to be implemented on July 1, or as contracts allow, citing rising raw materials costs and inadequate margins. Oxea (Oberhausen, Germany) says it will increase list and off-list prices on carboxylic acids. 2-ethylhexanoic acid will increase €100/m.t. in Europe, 12 cts/lb in North America and $200/m.t. in Asia. Isononanoic acid will increase €100/m.t. in Europe, 7 cts/lb in North America, and $150/m.t. in Asia. Butyric Acids will rise €50/m.t. in Europe and $100/m.t. in Asia...
