Markets :: Industrial Gases Samsung Engineering Awarded Industrial Gases Plant Contract in Saudi Arabia1:18 AM MDT | August 5, 2009 | Deepti Ramesh and Natasha Alperowicz Samsung Engineering has won a $300-million contract from National Industrial Gases Co., a Sabic subsidiary, to build an air separation unit (ASU) at Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The complex will be designed to produce 3,550 m.t./day of gaseous oxygen, 3,600 m.t./day of nitrogen, and 150 m.t./day of argon from compressed air. Samsung Engineering will provide the license, engineering, procurement and construction services under a lump-sum turnkey contract. The complex is due to start up in 2011.
