Linde to Build Carbon Dioxide Plant in Philippines

Linde says its Linde Philippines (Pasig, Philippines) subsidiary will invest Philippine pesos219 million ($5 million) to build a new 24-m.t./day carbon dioxide (CO2) plant at the company’s existing site at Balamban, Philippines. The plant is expected to come onstream in January 2012, and it will meet the growing demands for CO2 from shipbuilder Tsuneishi Heavy Industries, a key customer of the company, Linde says.
