Linde Confirms Full-Year Outlook as Sales and Earnings Rise

Linde confirmed its full-year 2012 outlook for higher profits and sales after posting increases in second-quarter revenues and earnings, which were boosted by demand in emerging markets that offset weakness in mature markets. Linde posted an 8% increase in second-quarter net profits compared with the corresponding period of last year, to €304 million ($374.7 million), on sales up 6%, to €3.7 billion.
