Markets :: Industrial Gases Airgas to Build Liquid CO2 in Georgia8:32 AM MDT | July 9, 2008 | Michelle Bryner Airgas says it will build a 450-m.t./day liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) plant to supply an ethanol plant that First United Ethanol (FUEL; Camille, GA) is constructing at Camilla. Airgas expects the facility to be operational by late 2009. Financial details were not disclosed. Airgas says it has entered into a 15-year agreement with FUEL, under which FUEL will build a pipeline to supply raw CO2 to be used as feedstock for the new plant.
