Airgas Posts Big Profit Gain, Lifts Dividend

Airgas reported net earnings of $55.8 million in its fiscal third quarter ended December 31, 2010, up 19% from the same period last year. Excluding charges totaling 15 cts/share, earnings were 80 cts/share, slightly higher than the consensus of analysts’ estimates of 79 cts/share, as reported by Thomson One (New York).
