Markets :: Industrial Gases Air Products to Build Air Separation Unit in Belgium9:36 AM MDT | August 25, 2010 | Nancy Seewald Air Products says it will build an air separation unit (ASU) at Gent, Belgium to supply ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steel company. The companies have signed a long-term agreement under which Air Products will supply ArcelorMittal argon, nitrogen, and oxygen from the new ASU. The ASU, which is due onstream in 2012, will be Air Products’ third at ArcelorMittal’s Gent site. It will have capacity of about 2,000 tons/day, and will also supply the European merchant...
