Air Products builds liquid CO2 plant at Wisconsin ethanol facility

Air Products announced today that it has signed a long-term production agreement with Big River Resources Boyceville (Boyceville, WI), a grain ethanol producer, for liquid carbon dioxide (CO2). Air Products will build a facility with capacity for 250 m.t./day of liquid CO2 at Big River’s ethanol plant at Boyceville. The company will market food and beverage-grade liquid CO2 from the plant, which is expected to begin production early this year. Project costs have not been disclosed.
