Air Liquide to provide ASU to planned OCI methanol plant

Air Liquide announced today that it has signed an agreement with Natgasoline (Beaumont, TX), a wholly owned subsidiary of OCI (Sittard, Netherlands), to supply oxygen for Natgsoline’s methanol plant at Beaumont. Air Liquide will invest around €90 million ($120 million) to supply Natgasoline with 2,400 m.t./day of oxygen. The new air separation unit (ASU) will produce oxygen, nitrogen, and argon; connect to Air Liquide’s pipeline network along the Gulf Coast in Texas and Louisiana; and is expected to be commissioned by the second half of 2016, the...
