Markets :: Industrial Gases Air Liquide to Invest $31 Million to Build ASU in China7:49 AM MDT | June 3, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh Air Liquide says it will invest €25 million ($31 million) to build a new air separation unit (ASU) for Dongbei Special Steel Group at Dalian, China. The new ASU will have a production capacity of about 800 m.t./day of oxygen, and will supply oxygen and nitrogen to Dongbei Special Steel. The new ASU is expected to come online in the third quarter of 2011. The ASU and supply agreement extends the cooperation between the two companies, after a first long-term gas supply contract was signed in 2007.
