Air Liquide to Build Gases Plant in Chile

Air Liquide says it has decided to invest €25 million ($35 million) to build a new gases plant in the Santiago region, close to Chile’s main markets. The plant will have a production capacity of nearly 150 m.t./day of liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon and will enable Air Liquide to meet the growing needs for liquid and cylinder gases of the industrial merchant and healthcare markets in the central and southern regions of Chile, the company says.
