Air Liquide net profit declines 4% in first half despite slightly better sales

Air Liquide netted €752.4 million ($998.7 million) in profit during the first half, down about 4% compared with the same period last year, when profit stood at €784 million, the company announced today. Ebitda amounted to €1.88 billion, more than 1.6% higher than during the first half of 2012. Revenue was also marginally up during the reported period, at €7.56 billion, compared with €7.53 billion in the first six months of last year. Second-quarter figures have not been disclosed.
