Markets :: Industrial Gases Air Liquide Starts Up Two Air Separation Units in China7:41 AM MDT | July 23, 2009 | Deepti Ramesh Air Liquide says it has started up the previously announced two large air separation units (ASU) at Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, China, that together produce 4,000 m.t./day of gaseous oxygen. The ASUs, announced in 2007 and built with an investment of about €90 million, will supply oxygen, nitrogen and argon to the steel mills of Jiangsu Shagang (Zhanjiagang), the leading private-sector steel company in China. The two units will also supply other local industrial customers with gaseous and liquid products, and will have a capacity of 600 m.t./day of...
