Air Liquide Starts Up Two Air Separation Units in China

Air Liquide says it has started up the previously announced two large air separation units (ASU) at Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, China, that together produce 4,000 m.t./day of gaseous oxygen. The ASUs, announced in 2007 and built with an investment of about €90 million, will supply oxygen, nitrogen and argon to the steel mills of Jiangsu Shagang (Zhanjiagang), the leading private-sector steel company in China.
