Air Liquide Sales Fall on Lower Volumes

Air Liquide reported third-quarter sales down 8%, to €2.98 billion. Unfavorable currency exchange rates, and lower volumes and selling prices led to the decrease in revenues, Air Liquide says. The gas and services division posted sales down 9%, to €2.5 billion. Revenues fell in the industrial merchant, large industries, and electronics businesses; but were up in healthcare because demand for hygiene products was stimulated by preventive measures against H1N1 flu, the company says.
