Markets :: Industrial Gases Air Liquide Builds Air Separation Plant in Mexico11:11 AM MDT | July 9, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Air Liquide said today that it will invest €28 million ($35 million) in an air separation unit (ASU) and a steam methane reformer (SMR) at Pesquería, Nuevo León, in northern Mexico, to supply steel manufacturers Ternium and Tenigal. The project follows the signing of a long-term contract to supply nitrogen and hydrogen to the two companies. Under the agreement, Air Liquide will build and operate the ASU and SMR at Ternium’s new facility at Pesquería, which will include a cold-rolling mill and a galvanizing plant. ...
