Markets :: Industrial Gases Air Liquide Acquires U.S. Specialty Gases Firm12:39 PM MDT | October 3, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Air Liquide says it has agreed to acquire Scott Specialty Gases (Plumsteadville, PA), a producer of specialty gases. Terms were not disclosed. Scott has annual sales of about $88 million, Air Liquide says. Completion of the deal is subject to regulatory approval. Air Liquide says the acquisition will provide it with “a new platform for growth and a true nationwide U.S. presence.” The U.S. specialty gases market is growing at 6%/year and accounts for about $1.3 billion of the total U.S. $4.5-billion packaged gases market, Air Liquide...
