Airgas reports rise in earnings, sales despite economic uncertainty

Airgas today reported that net income for the quarter ended 31 December increased 14% year-on-year (YOY), to $82.9 million on sales up 4%, to $1.2 billion. Adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.04, which excludes a small restructuring charge, were slightly lower than analyst estimates of $1.07/share, according to Thomson Reuters (New York).
