Syngenta to Buy Monsanto's Sunflower Seeds Business

Syngenta says it has struck a deal to acquire Monsanto’s hybrid sunflower seeds activities for $160 million. The acquisition would add to Syngenta’s existing business in this field. The deal is for cash on a debt-free basis. The deal includes germplasm, and development and breeding of hybrid sunflower seeds.
