Syngenta appoints its next chairman

Syngenta has appointed Michel Demaré as its next chairman. The appointment will be effective from the company's annual meeting on 23 April 2013. Demaré will succeed Martin Taylor, who is due to retire from the Syngenta board on that date. Taylor has been Syngenta chairman since 2005.
