The company recorded $1.84 billion in operating profits, which is approximately at the same level as in the prior-year period, and earnings per share increased 10% year-over-year, to $17.17. Sales growth was attributed mainly to the appreciation of the dollar against most currencies, and increased profits were the result of a 6% hike in sales volumes, 4% higher selling prices, and cost savings from implementation of Syngenta's...
