Monsanto seed production project faces new delay

Provincial authorities in Argentina have rejected an environmental-impact statement for Monsanto's  planned 1.5-billion peso ($192 million) corn seed production facility, a move that will likely exacerbate ongoing construction delays caused by protesteors opposed to genetically modified organisms (GMOs), according to The Wall Street Journal. The Cordoba, Argentina, facility was set to open in early 2013 but is only 30% complete, reports say.
