Monsanto, Sinochem Reportedly in Venture Discussions

Monsanto is said to be in talks with Sinochem over expanding their commercial relationship, although it is unclear what form an agreement might take, according to the The Wall Street Journal. Arrangements could include a large joint venture, the sale of a minority stake or Sinochem assuming a larger role marketing Monsanto products in China, the paper reports, citing sources familiar with the talks.
