Cambrex reports huge fall in profits Cambrex (East Rutherford, NJ) reports a 91.2% fall in net profits for the first quarter of 2014 compared with the year-ago period, to $982,000. First-quarter sales decreased 11.2%, to $66.2 million. “Due primarily to the timing of orders, sales of certain branded active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), generic APIs, and custom development products were lower during the quarter, partially offset by higher sales of controlled substances and products utilizing the company's drug delivery technology,” Cambrex says...
