Fine Chemicals Firm AMRI Buys Excelsyn for $19 Million

Pharmaceutical ingredients manufacturer and drug discovery firm AMRI (Albany, NY) says it has acquired contract fine chemicals business Excelsyn (Holywell, U.K.) for $19 million. Excelsyn had been privately owned and led by industry veteran Ian Shott. AMRI says the deal will be Ebitda accretive to the group in 2010.   Excelsyn’s key activities include process development and manufacturing services for the pharmaceuticals industry.
