Markets :: Fine Chemicals/Biotech :: Pharmaceutical ingredients Nycomed JV Opens API Facility in India2:47 AM MDT | September 29, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh Nycomed (Zurich, Switzerland) says its Zydus Nycomed (Navi Mumbai, India) joint venture with Zydus Cadila (Ahmedabad, India) has commissioned its expanded active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) manufacturing facility at Navi Mumbai, and the company is expected to start commercial production of APIs by December. The plant will initially manufacture pantoprazole, urapidil and lornoxicam, and by 2011 it will produce eight additional APIs. Zydus Nycomed is a 50-50 jv, which was formed in 1998.
