Merck KGaA affirms commitment to China, will break ground on pharma unit

Merck KGaA at today’s press conference at Shanghai affirmed its commitment to China. Merck will in August hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a previously announced €80 million ($107.8 million) pharmaceuticals plant at Nantong, which, from 2017, will be the group’s second-largest pharmaceuticals manufacturing facility globally.
