Markets :: Fine Chemicals/Biotech :: Pharmaceutical ingredients Lonza Introduces Cell Culture Medium2:28 AM MDT | June 28, 2011 | Alex Scott Lonza has introduced a cell culture medium and feed platform for its GS Gene Expression System for manufacturing biopharmaceuticals from mammalian cells that it says enables product yields of up to 10g/liter. The medium is comprised of CHO-specific chemically defined animal component-free (CDACF) cell culture medium, feed base powders and supplements. The CDACF, named Version 8, forms the backbone of Lonza’s mammalian production technology. The product will be globally manufactured and supplied by Lonza’s media production facilities. Lonza says...
