The project is part of Lonza’s previously disclosed plans to create a major pharma manufacturing base at Nansha at a cost of about $200 million (CW, Aug. 1/8, p. 14). The plant closes the gap between Nansha’s kilo lab and the site’s commercial production assets, to allow complete life-cycle support for pharmaceutical products made in China, Lonza says.
