Johnson Matthey to Form API Joint Venture for Chinese Market

Aoxing Pharmaceutical (Shijiazhuang, China) says it has entered into an agreement with Johnson Matthey to establish a joint venture through affiliated companies, which will focus on the research, development, manufacturing and marketing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) for narcotics and neurological drugs for the Chinese market. Macfarlan Smith (Edinburgh, U.K.), a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Matthey, will contribute technology expertise and capital to the jv, and Hebei Aoxing Pharmaceutical, the operating subsidiary of Aoxing, will contribute...
