Bristol-Meyers Squibb to close pharma plant in Ireland

Bristol-Meyers Squibb is closing its manufacturing plant at Cruiserath, UK, by the end of next year, which will result in 130 layoffs. Another 30 jobs will go at the company’s plant at Swords, UK. Both units manufacture active pharmaceutical ingredients. The company informed staff in a series of meetings on Thursday, citing change in market demand for products it makes at one of the plants.
