Markets :: Fine Chemicals/Biotech :: Pharmaceutical ingredients BASF Sells U.S. Pharma Unit to Dr. Reddy's2:33 AM MDT | April 30, 2008 | Natasha Alperowicz BASF says it has signed a definitive agreement to sell its manufacturing facility at Shreveport, LA and the related contract manufacturing business for finished pharmaceuticals to Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (Hyderabad) for an undisclosed price. The 42-acre Shreveport facility manufacutures and packages prescription and over-the-counter pharmaceutical products, liquids, tablets and creams for the North American market. BASF says it is selling the business to concentrate on core operations in the care chemicals division, which include custom synthesis services...
