Albemarle to expand fine chemicals facility with $65-million investment

Albemarle is expanding its specialty chemical facility at Orangeburg, SC—a $65-million investment that will create 20 jobs in five years, the company says. The facility manufactures fine chemical intermediates for its fine chemistry, polymer solutions and catalysts divisions. The expansion is a result of growing demand for products in all three of the units and the manufacturing of a new line of sustainable fire safety solutions.
