Aurobindo Pharma reports rise in API sales

The active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) business of Aurobindo Pharma (Hyderabad, India) reports a 12.7% rise in sales in the company’s fiscal third quarter, ended 31 December 2013, compared with the year-ago quarter, to 7.44 billion Indian rupees ($120 million). Earnings figures for the API business have not been disclosed. Aurobindo is one of the global leaders in APIs.
