U.S.-Brazil Trade Rift Threatens Patents on Agchem, Biotech Products

Brazilian trade officials say they are considering suspending patent and intellectual property rights on goods including agricultural chemicals, biotechnology products, and pharmaceuticals. The announcement stems from a long running dispute between Brazil and the U.S. over U.S. cotton subsidies.
