Bioamber (Pomacle, France), a three year old joint venture between DNP Green Technology (Princeton, NJ) and (Agro-industrie Recherches et Développements (ARD; Pomacle), an agricultural technology group, says it has successfully begun operating the world’s first commercial-scale biosuccinic acid plant at Pomacle, France. Bioamber finished building the plant in November 2009 and has been operating the facility, using a feedstock of wheat-derived glucose, since December.
