Sigma-Aldrich's Earnings Decline

Sigma-Aldrich reported second-quarter earnings of 68 cts/share, compared to 70 cts/share in the year-ago period. The company's earnings for the first six months of 2009 totaled $1.36/share, compared to $1.34/share for the first six months of 2008. Currency had a negative impact on sales for the quarter and the year, both of which showed increases with currency excluded.
