Syngenta Expects a Sales Rise of 20% in the First Quarter

Syngenta says its financial performance for the first quarter of the year has exceeded expectations and that preliminary sales for the period are likely to have risen 20% compared with the year-ago period, to about $3.5 billion.  The sales growth is spread across all regions, with particularly strong demand for pesticide products and “robust” performance in the company’s seeds business, Syngenta says.
