Sumitomo to Acquire a Fungicide Business from LG Life Sciences

Sumitomo Chemical says it has signed a deal with LG Life Sciences (Seoul), an affiliate of LG, to acquire its ethaboxam fungicide business. The acquisition will be completed this month. Ethaboxam fungicide is highly effective on a range of diseases such as downy mildew, late blight and pythium disease, in several crops including grapes, vegetables, potatoes, corn and other row crops, Sumitomo says.
