Reports: 30,000 evacuated after explosion at pyrethroid plant in China

An explosion at the Bestchem (Guiyang, China) chemical site at Guiyang left at least five workers injured and resulted in the evacuation of about 30,000 people living within a 1.5-kilometer radius of the site, reports say.  The causes of the accident, which occurred at 10.20 am on 25 February remain under investigation.
