The PRIA requires pesticide registrants and applicants to pay processing fees to EPA for the pesticide tolerance reviews required by the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act. The original act, passed in 2003, provided EPA with about $200 million in funds, says a coalition of manufacturers and environmental groups that support the bill, including CropLife America and the Natural Resources Defense Council.
