Nufarm Reports Rise in Profits

Agchem firm Nufarm (Melbourne) recorded more than a four-fold increase in net profits for the fiscal first half ended January 31, 2012, compared with the year-ago period, to A$18 million ($18.9 million). First-half sales however decreased by 4.2%, to A$862.7 million. Second-quarter figures were not disclosed.
