Kumiai Chemical is an affiliate of Ihara Chemical. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Fluthiacet-methyl is a broad-spectrum herbicide currently registered for early postemergence use on corn, soybeans and cotton in the U.S. It is effective on many tough-to-control broadleaf weeds that have developed resistance to glyphosate, FMC says.
