EPA Seeks Disclosure of Inert Pesticide Ingredients

EPA is seeking disclosure of inert, or inactive, ingredients in pesticides, the agency says. The action comes after EPA responded to petitions by the Northwest Coalition for Alternatives to Pesticides and several state attorneys general designating 350 inert pesticide ingredients hazardous. The petitions asked EPA to mandate those ingredients be disclosed on product labels. EPA is currently seeking public comment on the issue.
