Dow AgroSciences Seeks Approval for Roundup Ready Competitor

Dow AgroSciences says it is seeking U.S. Department of Agriculture approval for a three-gene, herbicide-tolerant soybean seed that, if approved, will be the first glyphosate-resistant seed of any variety to not include Monsanto’s Roundup Ready (RR) trait. Dow says the seed is part of its Enlist system of genetically modified seeds and associated herbicides that is forecast to generate sales above $1 billion at maturity.
