Markets :: Fine Chemicals/Biotech :: Agricultural chemicals Court Rules in Makhteshim's Favor in Fibronil Infringement Suit3:34 PM MST | January 10, 2012 | Rebecca Coons The U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina ruled in favor of Makhteshim Agan in a patent infringement dispute with BASF over the widely-used termicide fibronil. BASF filed the suit in 2010 alleging Makhteshim Agan infringed BASF patents that cover methods of producing fibronil. Bayer CropScience, which exclusively licenses two of the patents to BASF, was included as a plaintiff. BASF says it will appeal the ruling in the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. A separate infringement suit against Cheminova was...
