CVC Acquires Amines Firm

Private equity firm CVC Capital Partners (London) has agreed to buy alkylamines producer Taminco (Ghent, Belgium) for €800 million ($1.1 million). Taminco’s alkylamines and derivatives are used in agchems, animal feed, pharmaceuticals, and water treatment products. Taminco expects to generate sales of about €600 million in 2007, and currently employs 850. The company operates eight manufacturing sites...
