Bayer CropScience moves US vegetable seeds and biologics R&D to West Sacramento

Bayer CropScience plans to consolidate and expand its US-based R&D operations for vegetable seeds and biological crop protection products at a new site at West Sacramento, CA, the company said on Thursday. The integrated site, with an existing office and laboratory building occupying ten acres, can employ approximately 300 people. The vegetable seeds research, as well as the company’s biologics business management, both located at Davis, CA, will relocate to West Sacramento, which is about 10 miles away, in the first quarter of 2014.
